Description:
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!

Hi Everyone! I’m Willow, a 5 year old buff girl and I’m looking for a furever home. I was just rescued by CSAC after weaning my umpteenth litter in a small cage at a puppy mill. I am being medically evaluated at the nice vet’s office right now. They tell me I am quite healthy, except for a slight cataract on my left eye, a bit overweight (what do they expect? I get no exercise stuck in a cage 24 hours a day, seven days a week), and in need of a good dental. I will be spayed, given all my shots, get my teeth all pearly whited, and then I’ll be available to become your bestest little girl!
I am a friendly gal, and I just loves peoples! I don’t have any aggression issues (that’s a death sentence in a puppy mill, after all!). I must confess, I don’t know how to walk on a leash yet, but I just love to follow people around, so maybe the leash thing won’t be a problem for you and me, huh? Like all puppy mill dogs, I will need your patience, love and training, so I can learn not just to be a dog, but a pet, too. If you have all that to give me, I will give you kisses, love you with all my heart and soul for the rest of my life. Are you ready for the dedication of an ex-puppy mill dog? Are you ready to help me blossom to my full potential, enjoying the journey every step of the way?? Do you have room in your heart for me?
Here is what my foster mommy has to say about me:
Willow is a VERY sweet and laid back girl who would love to be someone’s special friend. She’s happy, healthy and friendly after surviving years of isolation in a puppy mill in NC. Her spirit is intact and her heart is so pure - she wants to crawl into your lap and please you. Her personality is so loving, that she’s a testament to the resilience of puppy mill dogs. She has one cataract that is likely operable and her other eye is clear so she sees just fine. She gets along with all other animals, but isn’t a player - she’s definitely a lover. Perfect for a low key home that wants a kind hearted girl to snuggle with.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out this application.
The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and your donations are entirely tax deductible.
