Description:
Yup, I’m a big goofball! My name is Buddy and I’m here to rock your world! I’m happy, friendly to everyone and everything, and ready to keep you going! I came from North Carolina, traveled okay (a little noisy, but with a bit of training, I’ll figure it all out).
When I came to this rescue (not too far away from being “gassed” whatever that means), my teeth were in horrible shape, my feet were burned from standing in my own pee all the time, I had dry eye and bad ears. But now, thanks to so many nice people taking care of me these last couple of months (even though I will still need eye drops once a day), I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been, and happy to be alive.
I’ve also been groomed, so the furball pictures you see here aren’t quite right, but they give you the idea of my shining personality and my cute grin! So please click on the link below and get the ball rolling (geez, THAT sounds like FUN!).
For more information about Buddy or any of the other furballs you see on our website, email our Adoption Coordinator.
Our adoption process begins with an application. If you are interested in adopting this or any of the other dogs on our website, please take a few moments to fill out the application now. We have a busy website, so one of the dogs you may be interested in now could already have an application pending approval. Don’t be left out in the cold – fill out an application now, and you can be pre-approved for the next “perfect” dog you see available. (Of course, we think ALL of our dogs are perfect, but we understand that adopters may have certain parameters based on their own circumstances, ie, kids, other dogs, cats, work schedule, etc.) The pre-approval process is the same as the adoption process, but with the benefit of being ready to go when your dog comes in. Often a dog won’t even make it to the website if we know we already have someone waiting in the wings who we know would be a perfect match for Fido. How simple is that for finding your new BFF (Best Furry Friend)??!!
The medical and custodial expenses of the numerous Cocker Spaniels in our care are tremendous. With the current economy, more and more dogs with urgent and serious medical issues are being abandoned. While we are committed to providing the best possible care for these luckless, voiceless dogs, the increased costs are beginning to take their toll on our ability to do so. What this means is that we are able to rescue fewer dogs, and in turn that means more dogs may be euthanized every day. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our dogs, please consider making a donation.
We know that money is tight everywhere, but even just a few dollars from many people adds up. Think of those dogs still in shelters or on the streets – those without warm beds, full bellies, and the knowledge that they are safe. For just the cost of a few cups of coffee, you can make a tremendous in the life of one of our needy furballs. For other ways to donate, please scroll to the bottom of our main web page.
The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and your donations are entirely tax deductible.
