Description:
My name is Jake and I’m desperately looking for a person or family I can call my own and love forever. I have to admit I’m not much to look at right now but the nice rescue people who saved me say once I lose some weight and get a good haircut I will be stunning. You see, I came in to the rescue so matted they had to put me under anesthesia to shave me down because it would have been too painful if I had stayed awake. I have the biggest brown eyes and my face has been described as “the cutest.”
I’m a wonderful, affectionate, sweet boy who is a true velcro cocker. I’m crate trained, housebroken, ride well in a car, walk good on a leash and am very obedient. I love everybody human. I like to socialize with other dogs but I would prefer to be the only dog in your home as I don’t like to share my person’s attention with other dogs. I love to play with toys with my people but basically have a laidback personality. I like to go for walks and meet people but I really like to just be close to my person.
I have a great fondness for human food which is why I could stand to lose some weight. I’ve become used to getting baby carrots as a treat now so I should drop weight quick with more exercise and eating quality dog food.
Won’t you please look past my outside appearance and see how sweet I am and how beautiful I will be? I will love you forever.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out this application.
The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and your donations are entirely tax deductible.
