Description:
NEEDS TO FIND HIS FUREVER HOME!!
Skippy: My name is Skippy and I’m looking for a new home. My old family left me at a noisy shelter because they didn’t have time for me anymore. I’m in a foster home now and it’s much better than the shelter was, but there are too many dogs here…they have eight! I have to share everything and I would much rather have some people to call my own. I’m really a sweet boy and my foster mom says that I have dreamy eyes. I think that’s a good thing, right? I love people and I really like to play fetch, but I don’t get to play it as often as I want to because of all the other dogs here. I’m really smart! I know some tricks and I’d love to show them to you! I love to cuddle and get belly rubs too!
Foster Mom: Poor Skippy was left at the shelter by his former family and was absolutely terrified by all the noise and chaos there. He’s come out of his shell now and he’s really a mellow guy who loves to play and lounge! He’s especially attached to his Sushi Pup toy and we call it his "binky" and when we ask him "Where’s your binky?," he’ll go running to find it. He’s such a smart boy too. He knows a few tricks, but it’s difficult for him to get all the fun time and attention he deserves when there’s so many other dogs. He gets along well with them, but we really think he’d be much happier in a one-dog home! He has a funny little walk which looks more like a stocky bulldog than a cocker spaniel. His age is the perfect mix of playful and mellow and he’s easily content with a few tosses of his binky every once in a while! He carries it almost everywhere. We hope to find poor Skippy a home to call his own very soon so he can truly stretch his legs!

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and your donations are entirely tax deductible.
